Your medicine in Ramadan: when to take it

Fasting flips your day, so doses move between iftar and suhoor. The usual schedule in Paris (mid-Ramadan times):

Once a day

With iftar (6:22 PM) or with suhoor — whichever suits your medicine.

Twice a day

First with iftar (6:22 PM), second with suhoor (around 5:32 AM).

Three times

Iftar, then after Taraweeh or before bed, then suhoor.

Missed a dose?

Don’t double the next dose on your own. Take the missed one if you remember before imsak and the next dose isn’t close; otherwise ask a pharmacist. Check diabetes, blood-pressure and empty-stomach medicines with your doctor before Ramadan.

Tie your medicine to the azan — it moves with it every day

Maghrib gets later and Fajr earlier every day of Ramadan.
